BST SLITTINGControl measures the width of every daughter roll, as well as the position of the coating, and compares both with the target values. If the width deviates from the target, this is an indicator that the blade is configured incorrectly or that the machine is experiencing wear and tear, and the machine operator is informed immediately. If the width is correct but the coating position is not, BST SLITTINGControl will activate the FRAMEGuide before the cutting process in order to precisely correct the material position in a closed loop.
FRAMEGuide delivers the highest degree of guiding accuracy thanks to its reliable edge detection, which is achieved using a central control unit and image processing algorithms in a closed loop. The intuitive, web-based user interface provides a live image of the current coating position and, optionally, visuals of heavy edge effects. The system’s open interfaces make it easy for any machine manufacturer to integrate into existing systems.
