Our dual study programs – FOR YOU
In cooperation with the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences, we offer dual study programmes in the fields of electrical engineering, mechatronics and technical computer science.
The basic idea behind dual study programmes is to integrate university studies and practical work in the company from the outset. This is made possible by limiting all university courses to four days a week during the lecture period. On the fifth day of the week and during the lecture-free period, students work in the company. In the course of their studies, they become increasingly involved in company projects.
Electrical Engineering (B.Eng.)
Power, sensors, control – you’ll study electrical engineering and take part in real industrial projects along the way. At BST, you’ll learn how modern machines think, measure, and control.
Theory at university, practice with us – the perfect combination if you’re fascinated by technology, think logically, and are eager to work with future-oriented technologies.
Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng.)
Want to know how technology works – and help shape it yourself?
In the dual mechanical engineering program, you’ll design components, build systems, and learn how ideas turn into industrial reality.
It’s the right path for you if you enjoy math, physics, and design – and love working on real solutions.
Business Informatics (B.Sc.)
You want to connect IT and business – and improve real processes?
In this dual program, you’ll learn software development, data analysis, and business processes – with direct practical application at BST.
Ideal if you think digitally, work analytically, and want to understand how technology drives companies.
Industrial Engineering (B.Sc.)
You want to understand technology and think economically at the same time?
This degree combines engineering know-how with business administration – putting you at the interface between development, production, and management.
Perfect for you if you have broad interests, strong communication skills, and like keeping an overview.

Work Student
Are you a student who would like to put your university knowledge into practice and gain practical experience as a working student (m/f/d)?
Where: In your desired field of study.
Working hours: Up to 20 hours/week during the semester (flexible); more than 20 hours possible during the semester break.
Duration: Ongoing alongside your studies
Remuneration: £16 per hour
Bachelor's or Master's thesis
Are you about to complete your studies and looking for an exciting topic for your Bachelor's or Master's thesis?
Where: In your preferred subject area
How: No fixed working hours – the focus is on developing your thesis. BST supports you with access to relevant systems, documents and your own internal supervisor.
Duration: 3-6 months
Remuneration: 520 Euro/month
