TubeScan’s advanced software reliably distinguishes real defects from harmless variations, ensuring accurate results and uninterrupted workflow with less waste. One of the labels shows the icon shifted to the right, which is an irrelevant misalignment. Tubescan can disregard this false defect. Color register deviation is recognized as a real defect.

Multiplexing: Parallel Inspection Using Multiple Illumination Modes
Thanks to pulsed lighting and segment-specific matrix camera technology, different illumination modes can be used in parallel—without the need for separate setups or manual lighting changes. For example:

“With the new camera-based sensor CLS CAM 200, we are presenting an innovation at LabelExpo Europe 2025 that combines precision and sustainability. The system regulates directly based on contrast features, thereby increasing quality and efficiency,” explains Ingo Ellerbrock, Product Manager at BST. The CLS CAM 200 features automatically controlled LED lighting and supports both bright-field and dark-field operation for reflective surfaces. The system is operated centrally together with the control unit via the BST SMART COM 100 Commander, complemented by an optical positioning aid and automatic job and setup memory.
